Rapid Breakthrough Insights
POTENTIAL – INTERFERENCE + AWARENESS = EFFECTIVENESS
Are you ready to revolutionize the way you connect—with yourself and with the world around you? Our Focus Impact Workshop harnesses the power of the DiSC personal assessment and communication model that accelerates growth in intrapersonal, interpersonal, and influential skills. Our ability to communicate directly affects our success and happiness at home and work.
Proven Assessment & Communication Models
DiSC is a research-backed, behavioral assessment and communication model that helps individuals better understand their behavioral tendencies—how they respond to challenges, how they relate to others, and how they communicate under various circumstances. By learning the DiSC framework, you can adapt your approach to effectively engage with anyone, regardless of their personality style. https://www.discprofile.com/what-is-disc/research-reliability-and-validity
Three i’s of Communication
Effective communication plays a crucial role in fostering healthy and productive relationships, both in personal and professional contexts. Miscommunication or lack of clear interaction often leads to misunderstandings, conflict, and reduced collaboration. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16355940/
- Intrapersonal – Discover your personal communication style and develop the self-awareness you need to respond more effectively under pressure.
- Interpersonal – Strengthen relationships by learning how to adapt to others’ styles, creating authentic, engaging, and supportive interactions.
- Influential – Amplify your ability to lead others and inspire action, whether in personal circles or professional environments.
The Benefits
- Personal Growth: Feel more confident, handle stress with greater resilience, and unlock your best self.
- Relationship Building: Build stronger rapport at home, with colleagues, or in any team setting.
- Career Success: Enhance your professional profile by mastering adaptive communication—an essential tool for team building, negotiations, leadership, and collaboration.
The Workshop Experience
This immersive, experiential, and interactive workshop runs across three sessions (approximately 90 hours) primarily on weekends, ensuring you have the depth and time to genuinely absorb and practice each concept. Through hands-on activities, group collaboration, and actionable insights, you’ll walk away equipped to leverage your new awareness and communication skills with all people in different contexts.
Research Into Immersive, Multi-Day Educational Workshops that engage the body, mind, and emotions, as compared with traditional lecture-based learning, demonstrates an average time spent was over 65% of max heart rate, energy expenditure, total bounds, and mechanical and physiological load were significantly greater in the immersive seminar group when compared to the traditional lecture group. In addition, cortisol levels and perceptual measures of mood, focus, energy, and well-being were significantly greater in the immersive seminar when compared to the traditional lecture format. Participants in the immersive seminar demonstrated significantly greater memory retention of course material 30 days post-lecture when compared to the traditional lecture group. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34000295/

FOCUS TRAINING
now presented by IMPACT ACTUAL
Wayne and Pam McKamie created and led the Focus Training for nearly 40 years. Upon their retirement, Impact Actual, led by Navy SEAL Rob DuBois (ret.) with an assist from Jason Rowinski, Director of Training & Development for Impact Actual and a Focus Trainer, made plans for the transfer of leadership.
Along with Jason being a Focus Trainer and Rob being a graduate of the training himself, the Focus leadership team also has two Impact Actual coaches in Jesse Heflin and Melissa Dockum. These prior relationships along with a similar philosophy about human potential made for a natural fit.
SAME FOCUS. NEW LEADERSHIP. WIN-WIN.

FAQs
When and Where is the WINTER 2026 Workshop?
This year’s Winter 2026 is January 9-11, January 22-25, and February 20-22. The location is at CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE: 21385 College Blvd, Olathe, KS 66061.
Locations of trainings change based on available space. We use community meeting space, educational institutions, religious organizations, retail space, and private property for the training sessions.
How do I pay my tuition?
How you pay is entirely up to you. Pay your tuition in a way that works BEST for you. Credit Card, Apple/Google Pay, and PayPal are standard options. You may also choose to pay via cash or check given to our admin, Melissa Dockum.
Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay are also available to you, and each offers different terms for installment payments, some extending up to 24 months.
You have the option of utilizing our payment partner, Splitit, to create 0% interest payment installments (up to 12 months).
***When you pay your tuition, go to your cart and checkout. The options for payment and their various terms are presented to you there. PAY TUITION HERE ***
Are lodging and food part of tuition?
Lodging and meals are not included in your tuition. Drinks and snacks are provided during the training sessions. We also encourage you to bring your favorite snacks. If you’re in the Kansas City metropolitan area, you’ll stay at your home or the lodging of your choice during Focus 1 and Focus 3. The choice is yours for these two sessions. We highly recommend you stay in a hotel for Focus 2 with your fellow participants. If you’re coming from out of town, you’ll need to arrange your lodging. We recommend you book your accommodations within 15 minutes of the training location.
Why don’t you provide a more detailed training schedule?
Everything essential to your participation in the workshop is provided on this page. However, you are always welcome to contact us, and we’ll be glad to clarify and answer your questions. An expanded schedule is provided after you complete registration and intake. We do not provide a minute-by-minute schedule of the workshop for two reasons.
First, the workshop is dynamic, and we need to adapt the schedule to several different factors, such as weather, size of the training group, and location needs.
Second, providing the exact steps of the process would detract from the effectiveness of the workshop itself. Think about a Goalkeeper practicing penalty kicks or going to the opening night of a long-awaited movie thriller. If the goalie knew where the ball would be kicked, they’d never improve their skills. Knowing the surprise plot moments of a thriller movie before you watch it would ruin the experience.
The same is true of the Focus process. We often grow the most when we step outside of our comfort zone and allow ourselves to experience something new.
Can I trust the Focus Process and Leadership Team?
Yes. Our purpose is to make sure that this entire process respects the participants. We make every effort to provide a safe, confidential, intentional, and consent-driven process. We honor the intake process and any questions you have about the training. Our staff team leaders are certified, educated, and experienced in working with people as well as in the Focus process. The training assistants are all graduates of the training, and most of them are regular volunteers with multiple trainings under their belts and active participants within the Focus graduate community.
What is your refund policy?
The first $100 paid is non-refundable. A 100% refund (after the first $100) is available 21+ days prior to the training, an 80% refund 14-20 days prior, and a 60% refund 1-13 days prior. If you are unable to attend or complete the scheduled training, 100% of your payment will be held and applied to a future training for up to one year from the date of payment.
What is the 100% Money Back Guarantee?
We believe in the training and trust the experience will impact your personal and professional life. If you are dissatisfied after completing the entire 3-week Focus Training course and express dissatisfaction with your results to the Trainer on Sunday after the final session, you’ll receive your money back.
